A Maine woman is recovering from injuries she received when an escaped cow attacked her! The unidentified 43-year-old was preparing to start jogging in Farmington on Friday when she was confronted by the bovine, which had escaped from a farm a short time earlier. “She was lifted off the ground by the animal’s horns,” a police statement reads, “but was able to escape into the nearby tree line.” The woman suffered a laceration that required stitches. The cow was captured and returned to its owner, the Farmington Police Department reports. The case has been turned over to the District Attorney’s Office, which will decide whether the owner should be charged in the incident, a rep says.
