APD Arrest Two Suspects In Tiray Evans Murder

Amarillo Police have arrested two suspects in the murder of Tiray Evans on Tuesday, September 17th. 27 year-old James Childs was taken into custody and charged with murder on Wednesday, September 18th. He was booked into the Potter County Detention Center. On Friday, September 27th, police arrested Markeen Tiiedrick Rayshaon Walker, age 31 on an outstanding murder warrant. Walker was taken into custody without incident in the area of 38th and South Jackson and also was booked in to the Potter County Detention Center.
The APD Homicide unit was assisted by the Potter County SWAT Team, the US Marshall’s Office, the Department of Public Safety CID investigators, the APD PACE unit and the APD Crime Analysts.
