APD Investigating Avondale Street Homicide

25-year old Felita Bailey was killed early Saturday morning in a shooting at a private residence in the 1300 block of Avondale. Ms Bailey was shot during an after hours party that had spilled out into the street. Multiple Avondale residents said that several shots were fired. Most of the people had left the party by the time officers arrived on the scene. Two people with gunshot wounds were transported to a local hospital. Bailey died of her wounds in the medical center. The other person was listed in serious condition. The The Amarillo Police Department is investigating and is also seeking information and video footage related to the case. A public video portal has been set up for anyone who might have cell phone video evidence in the case.
