Bruce Springsteen, Gladys Knight, Jose Feliciano to be Honored With National Medal of Arts!
The President will present the 2021 National Medal of Arts at the White House today (March 21). Bruce Springsteen, Gladys Knight, and Jose Feliciano will receive the National Medal of Arts from President Joe Biden at 4:30 p.m. Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Vera Wang, and The Billie Holiday Theatre will also receive National Medals of Arts during the ceremony. First Lady Dr. Jill Biden will be attending. The 2021 National Humanities Medals will be delivered in conjunction with the National Medal of Arts. “The National Medal of Arts recipients have helped to define and enrich our nation’s cultural legacy through their life long passionate commitment. We are a better nation because of their contributions. Their work helps us see the world in different ways,” said National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Chair Maria Rosario Jackson, Ph.D.
