COA Names Freeman Interim City Manager

Andrew Freeman has been officially named Amarillo’s Interim City Manager. His appointment was approved by way of unanimous vote during Tuesday’s City Council meeting.

Freeman is no stranger to the challenges associated with the new role, having served as Assistant City Manager of Plainview and City Manager of Tulia.

He was named an Assistant City Manager in August, 2021, and Deputy City Manager this past May. He has served on numerous state and local boards, organizations and committees.
