Def Leppard and Journey Hitting The Road For Massive Summer Tour!

In case you missed the announcement this morning…it’s Def Leppard with Journey, and it’s the latest Eagle Concert Trip!

The guys in Def Leppard are about to hit the road for their 2018 tour, teaming up once again with Journey! The tour kicks off May 21, and will include shows in our area! (Dallas, Denver and Albuquerque)  This large-scale hard rock extravaganza will also include stops at Madison Square Garden in New York City, Wrigley Field in Chicago and Fenway Park in Boston.

Def Leppard lead singer Joe Elliott sounded stoked when talking about the upcoming tour.  “The fact that we’re touring with Journey, and it’s putting us into huge arenas like Madison Square Garden and stadiums, that is very special for us,” said Elliott.

With a whopping 40 years worth of music catalog and touring under their belt, the double RIAA Diamond Award certified band knows what the crowd wants to hear – The Hits (of which, thankfully there are many).  The Leps have no problem delivering the goods.  Said Elliott,  “It’s not a curse, it’s a blessing. … These are the songs we nurtured, we wrote, we’re proud of. They made us who we are? Why would we abandon them?”

Of course, Journey have a massive collection of hits to chose from as well!  There’ll be TONS of ‘Singing Along With The Band’ at these shows.

Journey guitarist Neal Schon referenced this tour in an an Instagram post: “Journey and Def Leppard comin’ soon!” Journey’s next round of dates were described as “a six-month tour” alongside Def Leppard in a January feature on Journey drummer Steve Smith, as well. THIS….should be a fantastic gig!

We’re sending YOU and a guest to the Sept. 5th show in Albuquerque, complete with hotel accommodations!  It’s all made possible by The Genuine, The Original Overhead Door Company of Amarillo!  – Sign up at our website: 1009TheEagle.com
