Dropkick Your Landline Telephone!

How Many Of Us Have Used A Landline Telephone Lately?

March 10th is ‘National Landline Day’. So let’s break down some numbers.  It’s not a surprise that the landline telephone is quickly going the way of the VCR and the 8-Track.

According to a recent survey, 25% of us have NOT used a landline in the past six months! But 40% of us have used a landline to talk to someone in the past few days.  And 2% of us people surveyed said they had NEVER used one!

Not surprisingly, the older we are, the more likely we are to have used a landline in the past few days.  49% of people over the age of 55 have, versus just 15% of people under the age of 24.

And 25% of us say we’ve used a landline TODAY!  If you count my desk, I use a landline pretty regularly. But, once I leave the office, I almost never use one.

What about you?  Do you still have one at home? How much is it costing you to have the big ol’ paperweight? Maybe it’s time to let it go.
