David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, the creators of Game of Thrones,  have been hired to create a new “Star Wars,” series.  Disney, who bought Lucasfilm in 2012,   is staying hush, hush about the details.  However; sources say that it will be a “new film,” and separate from the Skywalker series and the trilogy being developed by Rian Johnson.  No release date has been announced since Benioff and Weiss are still working on the finale of Game of Thrones.   The much anticipated GOT finale is expected to air about mid-year of 2019.
