Get Ready For A Box Of Marshmallow-Only Lucky Charms!
If You Love Lucky Charms Marshmallow Goodies But Not The Cereal…
Okay, fellow cereal fanatics! Have I got news for YOU! General Mills is making it possible (again) to get a box of Lucky Charms…with ONLY the marshmallow hearts, moons, clovers, etc. Get ready for a Sugar Buzz that’ll blast you through the wall!
Me? I could eat cereal for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I regularly DO. It’s a perfect food. And being a recently-converted health-conscious adult, I’ll admit that I miss the sugary cereals of my youth. Frankenberry, Cap’n Crunch (with AND without Crunchberries), Super Sugar Crisp, etc. And who could forget Freakies!? The box had more nutrients than the cereal. Who cared back then?
But now, it’s all about FIBER for me. And whole-grain yada yada yada. And no more “Fun” cereals. *sigh*
No cereal had that sweet rush quite like Lucky Charms! Those tasty marshmallow bites in every spoonful. I remember trying to eat out all the cereal so I’d have a bunch of the goodies at the end of my bowl! Hahaha!! So, we ALL wanted as much of the “Sweet Surprises” as we could get!
An entire BOX of ’em.
This is the 3rd time General Mills has done this. The first time was back in 2015 with the release of just 10 boxes. In 2017, 10,000 winners received the marshmallow-only cereal. Now, 15,000 of us will score a box of the rainbow and unicorn-shaped ‘mallows. ONLY…15,000 boxes. A Limited Edition, for sure.
Here’s the catch: The whole problem with “limited-edition” is that the supply is, well, limited. So, if you’re dying to get your hands on a box, you need to commit. The company is set to launch specially-marked packages through summer 2019 with a code to reveal your fate. If you miss out on the deal, you’ll have to resort to old fashioned desperation – i.e. individually sorting marshmallows from the classic box.
I’m imagining a situation where you pour Lucky Charms out on, say, an album cover. Then gently tilt the cardboard so that marshmallows stay in place, and cereal pieces roll down to the bottom. Reminds me of…(ahem) well…. Never Mind.
