Give your Bedroom, the Hotel Room Makeover

I’m apparently not one of them, but a whopping 73% of people say they sleep better in a hotel room, than their own bedroom. Now, if you’re one of those people though, there are ways to give your bedroom a “Hotel Room Makeover.” According to the website Lifehacker, there are a few easy ways to freshen your bedroom that might help you get a better night sleep.
- Make your bedroom darker. The best thing I EVER invested in was blackout curtains. I got them when I worked morning drive, and now there’s no way I would be without them. Try them if you don’t already have some, I think you’ll love them!
- Keep your bedroom clean. Hotel rooms are very clean as a rule, and while we all live in our bedrooms, clutter and dust etc. have a bad impact on sleep. Make your bed too, you’ll be glad you did when you crawl in your bed at night.
- Upgrade your bedding. Most hotels have higher end mattresses for their guests. Be sure to update pillows, sheets, bed spreads and/or duvets and try to get a higher end product. If you sleep on bedding you really love, don’t be afraid to ask your hotel what the brand is. They’ll probably help you out and tell you, and they even may sell it.
- And finally keep your bedroom cooler. The ideal temperature for sleeping is around 65, so that too will probably help you get a better night sleep.
