Doctor Sends Holiday Cards To His Cancer Patients Erasing $650,000 In Debt

Maybe we should call him “Dr. Santa”. A doctor at the Arkansas Cancer Clinic sent out Christmas cards to nearly 200 patients, notifying them that they do not have to pay any of their outstanding debt. Dr. Omar Atiq said the decision was easy, especially after such a tough year. “People have lost jobs. People have lost income. People are just in bad situations.” Dr. Atiq erased about $650,000 total of patient debt.
