Don’t stop flossing during the pandemic – a new study has linked gum disease to severe cases of COVID-19. The report found that COVID-19 patients who suffered periodontitis were more than 3 times more likely to suffer severe symptoms or even death. Half of U.S. adults over 30 have some form of gum disease, which has also been linked to diabetes, heart disease, and Alzheimer’s – not to mention bad breath. So, Brush your teeth at least twice a day, and floss daily too.
