‘Aerosmith’ frontman Steven Tyler To Stand Trial After Sexual Assault Claims
A portion of a sexual assault lawsuit against Aerosmith’s frontman, Steven Tyler is set to proceed to trial in Los Angeles County Superior Court. The 78-year-old rock legend denies allegations of grooming and sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl in the 1970s. The case will focus on a single incident alleged to have occurred in 1974 in a California hotel hot tub. Tyler’s attorney stated that the court has dismissed most claims against him, allowing only one incident from over 50 years ago to remain for trial. The lawsuit was filed under California’s Child Victims Act, pausing the statute of limitations for reporting sexual abuse crimes committed against minors.
