What’s Up With ZZ Top?
So what’s happening with that Li’l Old Band From Texas? They just did a great show here in Amarillo earlier this summer, and now they’re cancelling shows? These shows, both of which were a double-bill with Cheap Trick, had been scheduled for August 5th and 6th. The August 5th show was cancelled just hours before the date. So fans were left puzzled, to say the least. The official announcements cites “unforseen personal matters” as the reason given for the abrupt news. Another statement from ZZ Top says, “Insurmountable obstacles require canceling our Hollywood Bowl performance. Friends, fans and followers of ZZ Top are the best in the business and the band is counting on everyone to bear with us during this brief interruption.” It goes on to assure ticketholders that they will be offered full refunds for tickets, parking and other fees at point of purchase.
