Something’s Shocking! Jane’s Addiction Cancels Remainder Of Tour After On-Stage Fight

Turns out the long-awaited Jane’s Addiction reunion was too good to be true. The band has cancelled the rest of their current tour, after last week’s now-infamous stage fight that saw Perry Farrell throw a punch at guitarist Dave Navarro. In a statement posted Monday, the band wrote “To all the fans: The band have made the difficult decision to take some time away as a group. As such, they will be cancelling the remainder of the tour.” It was the first time in 14 years the band had toured with the original lineup of Farrell, Navarro, drummer Stephen Perkins, and bassist Eric Avery.

The fallout from the on-stage fight between members of Jane’s Addiction (Perry and Dave) continued. Friday’s show in Boston was cut short when frontman Perry Ferrell punched guitarist Dave Navarro before he was dragged off by crew members and bassist Eric Avery. In a statement posted to Instagram, the band wrote “We want to extend a heartfelt apology to our fans for the events that unfolded last night”.  Oasis fans may want to take note – sometimes old grudges die hard.
