Most people don’t realize that I have several “pre-existing,” medical conditions. Because of that, I was able to take the COVID-19 Vaccine early. Is it something I wanted to do? Is it something I was a little afraid of? YES on both counts. I’ve known this whole time, if I were to get COVID, it probably would be a hard battle for me. So, while it was something that made me a little nervous, I knew in my heart, I had to get this done!
The first shot was exactly what I had expected. My arm hurt from the injection and nothing more. Now, it’s the second shot that’s laden with controversy. Some people have no reaction, some have slight reactions, and still, others feel more ill. So, I braced myself for the ride! One by one my side effects washed over me like ocean waves. First came complete and total exhaustion. Good thing I really needed a long rest! This was followed by those irritating aches and pains, and finally a fever. Yep, the vaccine was indeed doing exactly what it was supposed to. Then, just as quickly as it had befallen me, it was gone. Yay!! I did it!
Would I take the COVID Vaccines again? Absolutely! Do I encourage others to do so? Absolutely! Everyone must decide what is best for them. For me, this was definitely the best choice to keep me safe and healthy, and those around me safe and healthy as well. My recommendations? Take a couple of days off from work, or get your shot over a weekend. Also…Sleep is your friend! Stay safe, Be vigilant, and God Bless!
