Decisions…decisions!  Making your list can be tricky. There is so much great music out there!  Will “Stairway to Heaven” make your list?  How about “Margaritaville”?

Wait a minute…I’ve got one for you.

It was this week back in 1977 that The Eagles’ “Hotel California” became number on The Billboard charts.

“Hotel California” is such a massively popular song that it’s hard to believe that: It took more than two months to get to the top of the Billboard charts, AND it only stayed at the #1 position for one week.

Nevertheless, that’s what happened. The title track from The Eagles’ fifth studio album was released on Asylum Records on Feb. 22, 1977 and inched its way up replacing Glen Campbell’s “Southern Nights” at #1 on the Hot 100 chart for the week ending May 7th.

“Hotel California” continues to be well loved and seems to make it on most of everyone’s top 10 list.  Will it make yours?

We’ll see you at your area Sonic Drive In soon!  Be sure to bring your top 10 list!
