Beach Boy Brian Wilson Heartbroken Over Wife’s Death!
Melinda Ledbetter, the wife and manager of Beach Boys legend Brian Wilson, has died of undisclosed causes. She was 77 years old. “My heart is broken,” Wilson writes on social media. “Melinda, my beloved wife of 28 years, passed away this morning. Our five children and I are just in tears. We are lost.” Wilson goes on to say Ledbetter was “more than my wife,” adding, “She was my savior. She gave me the emotional security I needed to have a career. She encouraged me to make the music that was closest to my heart.” Wilson and Ledbetter met in 1986 when she worked at a Santa Monica Cadillac dealership. Although they broke up three years later, they reconnected in 1992 when Ledbetter almost ran Wilson over with her car. They married in 1995 and Ledbetter became Wilson’s manager in 1999. “She was not only a model, our father’s savior, and a mother,” the couple’s children write, “she was a woman empowered by her spirit with a mission to better everyone she touched.”
