Ring of Fire with Dark Side of the Moon!

Here  at 100.9 The Eagle, it doesn’t take a lot to excite us! And this Saturday, it’s gonna be all about the Solar Eclipse set to the music of Pink Floyd!  It’s called “The Ring of Fire” and it should be very visible here in the Texas Panhandle and Eastern New Mexico.  In honor of this incredible celestial event, and to celebrate the 50th anniversary of one of the most iconic album in history, The Eagle plans to play Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon” in its entirety during the eclipse! All to help you enjoy the Ring of Fire in the Texas Panhandle!

The best source for viewing the eclipse can be found here.

So you, the awesome Eagle Listener, can kick back and enjoy a sterling digital presentation of this amazing record! We’re starting ‘Dark Side’ around 11:50 AM and tracking the entire album during the ‘Ring of Fire’ eclipse.  Then, later in the evening, we’ll feature the BEST of Pink Floyd on Saturday Night Solid Gold, including an encore airing of “Dark Side of the Moon” beginning at 9:00 PM. Remember:  Don’t look directly at the eclipse!  Instead, here’s a way to make your own DIY Eclipse Glasses at home.  Remember:  do NOT look directly at the ‘Ring Of Fire” or ANY eclipse!  Ever!  Just enjoy the music.  And watch an YouTube clip of the eclipse later.
