The long-awaited Kids. Inc athletic complex is getting a jump start.

Council-approved construction costs for infrastructure for water and other utilities, streets, and a parking lot would first be paid by the partners and then reimbursed over time as tax collections rise from development in a zone at the intersection of Loop 335 and I-27.

The AEDC will be giving up $7.5 million for streets and utility costs, while  Attebury Elevators and Rockrose Development will spend $4.6 million on streets and utilities and Attebury and Rockrose building a $3 million parking lot.
