Matthew Perry dead at 54
Matthew Perry, the Emmy-nominated actor who gained stardom as Chandler Bing on the sitcom “Friends,” has died. He was 54. The iconic character became the model of how to tease your ‘friends’ as an expression of love. Perry chronicled his own struggles with alcohol and drugs in his memoir, titled “Friends, Lovers, and The Big Terrible Thing”. He also starred in many other movie and television projects, but will be best remembered for his role on “Friends”.
His death was confirmed by Capt. Williams of the LAPD robbery-homicide division, who stated that there were no signs of foul play. Several news outlets have reported that Mr. Perry was found unresponsive in a hot tub at his home in Los Angeles. An investigation into the official cause of death is ongoing.
