Amarillo is the 14th-largest city in the state of Texas, the largest in the Texas Panhandle, and the seat of Potter County

Let’s give ourselves a little shout out today! According to the Livability Website, Amarillo is one of the Top 25 Best Places to Live in The Southwest. The website mentioned our fresh clean air, bountiful sunshine and our wonderful people that call Amarillo home. Livability also mentioned our great sources of entertainment, The Palo Duro Canyon, museums, art galleries and other adventure spots.

I’ve called The Texas Panhandle home my entire life, and moved to Amarillo officially when I was in my early 20’s, and I’ve never left. What makes Amarillo a “Best place to live?” For me, I love the fact that we have definite seasons. And of course the weather can change on a moments notice, just like the breeze. One thing I’ve always loved too, is our rich Western Heritage. Seeing the horses at Dairy Queen on Washington my be quirky for some, but here, it’s just another day in The Panhandle. One thing that never fails to amaze me is our breathtaking Sunrises and Sunsets. There’s nothing else like them! But, the main reason I love to call Amarillo home is the People. When there’s a need, we circle the wagons, roll up our sleeves and help our fellow Texans. The Best people in the world, call Amarillo home.
