City Transit to Provide Free Transport to Shelters during Cold Snap

The city is expecting it’s first cold blast of the season this weekend.  In response Amarillo City Transit Department will be offering FREE Rides to those seeking shelter from the Elements.  Destinations for shelter include,  Guyon Saunders Resource Center 200 S. Tyler, Faith City Mission 600 N. Tyler , Salvation Army 400 S. Harrison  and The Code Blue Warming Station 207 N. Tyler.   Hours of operation are from 6:30 AM-7PM.  People needing transportation to one of the above shelters just need to tell their driver, and the ride is free.   The Free rides will be available when the temperature is 38 degrees and lower.
